Jon Wigg was brought up in a house full of roots music and started
playing in public at the age of nine, at the famous Amberley folk club started
by his dad, Stan. Having been up close to, and played alongside, some of the
great names in folk from both sides of the Atlantic it is hardly surprising
that his superb fiddle, mandolin and guitar playing weaves effortlessly through
an broad range of musical styles, from the Celtic tradition to Cajun and gypsy
jazz in a bewildering number of musical collaborations.
As SUPERSTRINGS he teams up with fellow vocalists Trevor
Brittan on bass and Dave Soothill on mandolin & guitar.
