Meets at The Lord Nelson, Trafalgar Street, Brighton on the first Monday of the month.
It's an informal, round-the-room set up, with a featured guest act.
Given that there is no PA setup, most of the regular performers have a folk / bluegrass / country background, whether performing traditional or original material.
Admission free - with collection.
PORCHLIGHT SMOKER - December 2, 2013
Now getting the national exposure they deserve it’s great to
welcome back Brighton’s own maverick bluegrass combo.
High quality roots
music that contains a blend of edgy country and British folk, played by a
four piece band with excellent vocals and harmonies that few can match.

Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2
Timeless ... fusing
elements of folk, bluegrass and country. Not every day you hear so many
instruments played – guitar, banjo, mandolin, double bass, sparse percussion
and even a jew’s harp. Lots of strings. I like that.
