Ewan D. Rodgers - April 2nd

Ewan is on the rising tide of young British performers who are using traditional music to explore new musical routes, in his case, not only those of his native Yorkshire but from the USA and beyond. He is already well known to our regulars because of his previous floor spots but the full extent of his multi-instrumental virtuosity will be revealed on this night when he will be playing melodeon and banjo as well as guitar.

His 2009 debut album From Hull, Halifax and Hell was rated amongst Maverick Magazine’s top 10 albums of 2010. And FATEA magazine was full of praise for, “songs that capture the
strength and dignity of man.”

His new album Tomorrow Might Be Monday will be released by Folk Police Recordings later this year. It includes original compositions as well as re-interpretations of traditional
British, French and Eastern European songs.
