Martyn Wyndham-Read has been involved with folk music for fifty years. During the early 1960s, he left Sussex and travelled to Melbourne, joining the folk song revival there and throughout Australia. After returning to England in 1967, Martyn was asked by Bert Lloyd to be part of the album ‘Leviathan’ on the Topic label with Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick.Iris Bishop is one of the UK’s top concertina players and plays a variety of styles with inspired musicality. Well-known as one of the most sympathetic accompanists in folk, it will be an unrivalled pleasure to hear her weave her accompaniments around Martyn's golden voice!
